Success! A remarkable launch!

Toasting Remarkable View! - Karen Orrock, Peter L Lehmann, Philip White,
     Malcolm Orrock, Caroline Schaeffer, Mark Malcolm and Rob Gibson.

Remarkable View Wines hosted and toasted their cellar door launch in conjunction with the official naming of the Southern Flinders Ranges geographic indication region and the Flinders Wine and food showcase.

A resounding success with over 1000 people attending and sampling wine, food and other produce from the Southern Flinders region and beyond.

Guest speakers for the launch are seen above with Malcolm and Karen Orrock. All spoke of the commitment of the Orrock's to this venture. They also commended highly the efforts of the many stakeholders in the endeavours that the success of the day marked.

Wine critic, Philip White officially launched the GI region, Peter Lehmann, winemaker, as well as a marvelous mentor to the Orrock's, officially opening the cellar door.

The crowd was entertained by Gary Mannion and the Gladstone High School band. All were well catered for with brilliant wines, saltbush lamb, mussels from Port Lincoln, rabbit, venison, cheese platters and local herbs and vegetables.

Locally made preserves, cordials and other produce were available for tasting and sale. The weather and the views out to Mount Remarkable were brilliant.

A courtesy bus ferried people to and from local towns during the day and the car park was chock-a-block!
